Below are the services typically included in our V8 short block machining and assembly package, less parts. All pricing subject to change based on final inspection of engine and any changes made by Newco or the customer.
V8 short block package includes the following:
- Teardown and inspection of core engine
- Hot tank and magnaflux for cracks
- Bore & Hone
- Reface Decks
- Block Prep (chase all threads, install cam bearings/freeze plugs, final wash)
- Balance rotating assembly
- Recondition connecting rods (check for cracks/resize/hang pistons)
- Assembly of short block
- Paint service
Price reflects labor only, parts quoted at time of build.
